TAGGED!

Mommy said we got tagged so she had to take over the computer today. So I am going back to take a nap. BARK!

Waldo and Gus tagged us. They said the tag is to go to your computer archives and then go to the 6th folder and pick the 6th picture and then post it along with the story behind it. Here's the 6th pic in our 6th folder:

I didnt think I would ever post this picture ANYWHERE. But the story IS cute. My hubby and I got to escape for a few days and headed to Laughlin, to try out some Wave Runners (as he had never been on one). My bible study girls encouraged me to do something "spontaneous" with him. I joked about dancing on the side of the rode with him, and they challenged me to surprise him with this idea. The silly part, even after 6 years of marriage, I felt like a nervous silly girl, even thinking about doing this, and trying to plan the perfect "pull over" spot on the long drive. Finally in mid conversation, I told him "Pull over!". He thought I had lost it or something was wrong. I turned up the stereo real loud (disco was playing and he REALLY thought I was losing it now!) and told him to get out with me, then he figured it out and was happy to join me in a silly dance on the side of the road. After I explained what the story was, he let me get the camera on the hood of the truck to take a picture for "proof" to take back to the study girls. We got a good laugh, and ironically, just 10 minutes before, he had mentioned we dont "laugh" enough together. I hope this helped.

Now back to the regularly scheduled program... BARK! Not to be outdone by mommy's cute picture, I had to flash my belly to daddy and it got me all kinds of attention. This is one of my favorites! Belly rubs!Dumb Max still doesnt get it. BARK!

HELPING MOM BAKE

Last week Gramma came over and her and mom were in the good smelling room all day. One of the treats mom put into the "off limits" room to keep away from us. A couple days later, Dad left the door open when mom was gone. The Princess said "Let's go see what goodies they left for us, after all, they did leave the door open for us, right". I told her I didnt think it was a good idea, but she went anyway. Later, dad came in and found the evidence all over the room, and the Princess not looking too good. I heard him call Mom and he said "Drunk?!" So dad took us outside for a long time. The princess was sleepy for most of the day, but then got ok again. Mom just laughed at us, after she got over worrying.

So this time I got to help mom in the kitchen. Here I am checking over the list of goodies for our baking. Looks like everything is there. Mom let me help her measure the rum. She said it is not good for doggies, and sometimes not good for hoomans either. I made sure she put in the right amount.
Mom let me inspect the package. I had to make sure she got it all out, and didnt leave any in the box. That little white thing looks pretty yummy.

Mom let me have a teeny tiny taste of the batter. She said that is the cooks treat when baking. I wasnt sure if I liked it too much.
But Dad sure like it!

I helped her put the cakes into the hot thing. I was very careful not to follow them too far in. They sure smelled good.
The Princess stepped into the room for just a minute to see what was going on. I told her to leave, as this was me and mom's time in the smelling room!

After dad got through with the goody bowl, he let me have a teeny tiny bit. But mom said doggies shouldnt have rum, and took it away to clean.

After a long time of the lair smelling really good, me and mom pulled the goodies out of the hot thing and they looked so good. Mom said I could smell them, but that was all. I am so proud of myself. I helped mom bake. She was pretty proud of me being such a good doggie too!
PAW! Max the Dude!
--Note from mom: Max did a great job. So good in fact, that he and Sasha later took all the boxes and eggs out of the trash, and inspected them to make sure nothing was left. Sorry, I missed the pictures on this. Evidence this morning shows that Max is the egg shell culprit. As for the previous rum cake snatching Sasha did, we watched her closely. She was a little lethargic, but alert and jumping around by time I got home. They must have stomachs of steel. Little peices of plastic wrap are appearing in the yard too.

FINALLY!

All that wet stuff stopped coming down for a little bit. Mommy said since the sun was peeking out, we could go for a ride. I was so excited. Mommy took me first. After running a few minutes, I stopped to leave a present in front Mommy and daddy's friend's house. Mommy said that wasnt very nice, and wrapped the present up and threw it away. Mommy said the view was so pretty outside, with the sno toppled mothins, so she told me to strike a pose for the flashy. I was so excited to be outside, I would do anything she asked.

The only thing that looked like sno was this, when we crossed the street. Nothing else white around us. And this looked pretty dirty.

PAW! Mom took me out next. She said something about us learning to "dance". Not sure what that means, but her pockets smelled good, so I sat and waited for what she wanted.

I couldnt quite figure out what she was asking me to do. She kept holding out a treat and backing away. I would walk to her, sit down and then lay down. But then she would back up, so I would stand up again. Then she put the treat behind her leg. Finally I went through to get it. But she is too short and almost fell. I just wanted the treat. I was so focused, I missed the two other doggies that walked by. Mommy was glad I didnt see them until later, because she had dropped my leash.

After earning a lot of treats, she asked me to strike a pose for her flashy. I felt she deserved it after giving me all those good treats.

Then the sky started to get dark again, so we rode home.
Time to start napping!

MOMMY'S MONDAY

After watching Big Honey Dog doing some dancing, I decided to set my sites on teaching Max to dance with me. So after a beautiful sunny Sunday, I went to bed last night, excitedly ready to start some dance training on our walk today. But sadly, this is what we woke up to:
TODAY --Sigh....
Views looking outside:

Views looking inside:

Well, guess we will have to start in 3 days or so, as the forcast is a pretty big storm. It has been raining non-stop for a couple hours. No migration for the pups today.
Can you teach a dog to wipe it's paws when coming in from the mud?
Maybe that would be fancier than dancing!

BED WAR

Daddy knows how par tick you lar I am about my bed being a certain way, yet he insisted on teasing me. He picked up my bed and kept it away from me. See how happy he is to torture me?
I know he is the pack leader, but this was going too far! I told him in no uncertain terms to "PUT MY BED DOWN NOW!" He still kept it from me. So I had to get physical.

I told mommy to get the flashy so we would have proof of what is going on in this pack. The Pack Leader is abusing his pack. What do you think?

PLAYMATES

Mommy didnt think we would ever become playmates. It took awhile, but I finally figured out Dumb Max wasnt going anywhere. In fact, I just heard mommy say he is o fish lee ours. Not sure what that means, but I am sure it means he isnt going to be leaving us. So might as well accept it and welcome him.
After getting my bed just right again, he went and laid down on it. I didnt think that was very cool, so went and told him too move.

Instead of moving, he gave me some sweet words and a snuggle. Hmmm, interesting. Almost convinced me, but then again... NOT! MOVE IT BUDDY!

After he got up, I escorted him to his own bed- NOW STAY THERE BUDDY!

But then he came back and started giving me some more sweet words and snuggles. WHATS UP WITH THIS?

Oh, I am onto his game now... All this sweetness, tricked Daddy into taking HIM on the walk this morning, instead of me! Now that was really one sneaky dumb boy.

Before all you doggies feel sorry for me... I got to run with mommy and that was more fun!

MOMMY'S MONDAY

Even after 3 years of seeing this, it still cracks me up to watch her plant her behind on the sofa. Since the doggies are not allowed on the couch, unless we invite them to lay with us (rarely), a loud beeping pad is kept in place to discourage The Princess from taking over.
So the rare moment that she is allowed, she takes full advantage of it. On this day, the dining room table had been moved into the Living Room for the big Thanksgiving dinner, and she didnt have much room to lay, so she decided to join us, by taking a seat at the couch, and laying her head on the table.

I am sure all you big doggie owners can relate to this.

SHE's AT IT AGAIN!

I dont know what the girls problem is? This time she grabbed her own bed and dragged it to the middle of the room.
As we all watched, she continued to drag it around, paw it, bite it, and drag it around some more.

Dad jumped in and tried to take it from her, and she wrestled with him until even he got bored.

So we all just watched and waited to see the outcome.

And I think the outcome was pretty darned fulfilling!

SUPERVISING DADDY

Daddy stopped digging in the ground and started digging in the wall. We are not sure what he is looking for, but just in case he finds another bone, we are close at hand to help him dispose of it. Mommy has also asked us to keep a close eye on "how much" he digs. If he goes too far, then we are to bark for her to come running.

He has been making a lot of noise, so we havent been able to take our morning, mid-morning, afternoon, mid-afternoon, early evening and evening naps. aaarrruuuuu... we are so sleepy. Mommy is happy we are sleeping hard throughout the night.

GUILT TREATS- YUM!!

Just before daddy took us to Ms T's, they brought out the yummy butter. But instead of putting it in our toys, they put it right in our mouth. When mommy made me sit and then smile, I wasnt sure what she was doing. She put her hand in my mouth, and I was a good girl and sat very still. When she pulled her hand back, I tasted yummies high in my mouth. It lasted a long time. In fact I think we could still taste it when mommy and daddy got home from their away time.

Note from mommy--- I put PB up in their jowls. It was quite fun to watch them try to get to it.

THEY DID WHAT???

While mommy and daddy were away, they visited a place for animals. I snuck a looky on mommy's flashy things and hhhhhoooowwwwllll... I found they cheated on us!! After checking her pockets for our treats, Mommy told me they went to a place that helped BIG animals, bigger than us, after they were tired from working. It was called WILD THINGS. We couldnt picture animals bigger than us, so mommy showed me proof. Now these things look pretty big. Mommy said they were cats! What? A cat bigger than Me? Impossible! Then she showed me a picture of my cousin. Or at least he looked like he could be my cousin. But mommy shocked me when again, she told me he was a CAT! A CAT? Yes, mommy said A CAT! BARK!Mommy said she took this picture for me. She said it reminded her of me on my back smiling at her. I didnt know kitties smiled like this too.

She said this "thing" was laughing. But she wasnt sure if it was a kitty or doggie. I just know it looks like a good dancer. Look at those moves!

But what really made me BARK was this picture of daddy giving treats to these HUGE things with noses longer than mine! What is that mommy? She said they were Ellie Fonts. They suck things in their nose, then put into their mouth. WHAT? Why dont they hold it with their paw's like we doggies do. Mommy said their paws were too big. Bigger than our Paws? I cant beleive that. But then she showed me proof again:

I cant beleive Daddy was feeding those big doggies treats! Mommy asked them to wave hello to Max and me in front of her flashy-- and they did!

BARK!!! Sasha the Princess!

Mommy's Monday

They missed us!!

During our annual Thanksgiving weekend get-away, the kids stayed with Ms. T.

Usually Sasha is a bit apathetic when we pick her up, but this year she was impressively excited to see us and to get home. Are these happy faces or what?

Then she did the happy dance for us! Go Sasha, Go Sasha! Max just did circles.

We missed our babies too!
