Good News!
Back into the Green machine and onto the next stop. Mommy said we were going to visit the furrie dok door. It was really hot outside, so we were glad to get into a cool room to wait. We did not have to wait long, when a strange fellow came and took my leash and me away from mommy. I wasnt too sure about that. Who would protect mommy while I was gone? They poked me with some sharp things, then brought me back to mommy. She smelled ok.
A lady came out and told mommy that they didnt get a "you r anal is". I didnt know what she was talking bout, but mommy sure did. We went outside so I could sniff again, and when I started to go potty, mommy tried to put a bowl under me. But I guess she didnt do too well, because her and the lady just laughed when they looked in it. That was the weirdest thing mommy has EVER done with me! I guess the lady told her that the bowl wasnt as important as the other pokes, so we left.
While we were there, they also gave me a paw di cure. See how pretty my nails are? Mommy said she will sit down and play with them with the rough stick to make them prettier.
After all that excitement, I had to get a good rest. It sure was exhausting being a good girl princess for mommy ALL day!
Oh, the good news? The furry dok door called mommy last night and told her that the test results came back very very good. He told her I dont have to get poked again until next year. BARK! BARK! But even better news? Mommy said I can go on the annual Mont ear aye trip next month with her and daddy. That is the place that spoils furries like me and we get to see lots of moving water and smell so many new things. I asked if we get to stay at the same lair that spoiled me last time and Mommy said yes, because it is their favorite place too. Mommy says it is a more important because that is where her and daddy had their first kiss (YUCK!). Wednesday, October 6, 2010
Out and About Redlands
I could see water running all over the Green Machine, then it kept shaking. Mommy kept telling me it was ok, but I wasnt so sure.
Then it got dark inside and even more noise. I was not liking this and started shaking real bad.
Finally it ended and daddy drove away. Mommy said the Green Machine was now "pretty".We went to a place called THE REDLANDS BOWL. It was big and had a lot of places for people to sit. I could smell a lot of good stuff. Mommy said that is because people come and eat here and watch and listen people do stuff on the stage. Sounds boring to me.
Daddy and me went up to the stage and pretended to "do stuff".
Mommy said this place was built in 1924 inspired by Mrs Grace Mullen. She was determined to bring Music and Performing arts to everyone, without a charge.
Mommy says the place really fills up with people for all the summer events. Her and daddy went a couple times without me. She said her favorite was when they played PETER & THE WOLF. She remembers that from when she was a little pup.
This is what it looks like when people start to come. They have picnics around the grassy area and enjoy the coolness of the evening, while that talent is on the stage.
After that, we walked down the street, while I did my sniffies. Then we came to another old building. Notice the big Q-Tips in the sky again? Yep, we have these all over town. I always keep an eye out for those furries that climb them and chatter at me!
The Post Office was built in 1930's by the Works Progess Administration. Mommy said that was a group that helped create work for people when there was none. Inside this building is a Museum that shows old postman pictures, postcards and postal tools. This is mommy's favorite post office. She explores the old postcards if she has to wait to long to do her business. I'm just glad she didnt stuff me in one of those post boxes and mail me off. Sunday, October 3, 2010

Presents and Pops
Can I open it? Please, please?Hmm, what is this? Treats in the mail?
Mommy took it away from me before I started chewing on it. She said it is a special treat that will make me feel better. It is called Deramaxx. Mommy gives me 1/2 of a treat a day. She said she can tell that I am getting up a little easier. The furry doktor said I should be able to grow to be an even older lady and going on my walkies will be a lot easier. HHHAARROOOO!!!I went outside and got daddy. He made mommy stop. But she kept laughing for a long time.
BARK! Sasha the Princess!
Note from mommy: So far no side effects from the new meds. We are so glad. I have been watching closely for any good changes, and the first week I was a bit disappointed. But then I noticed she is getting up a little faster, and she hasnt fallen backward as much as she was a couple weeks ago. She is still getting lame toward the end of her walks, but not falling down. Not sure how long or how much of an improvement we will see, but we are just happy that her pain is most likely more under control and her "issue" is gone. Would love to hear of everyone elses experience with Deramaxx.

Baaarrroooo... My tummy is better!
Grammy and Grampa were so concerned, they drove out all the way from Arizona to check on their grandog. First I let them give me all kinds of lovins and attentions, then I showed them how well I was by chasing after my toys.

And the Doc says...
Mommy said the furrie doc called with good news. He said the tests came back good and that my kids knees and live hers are working just fine, so I will be ok to take medicines to help my legs. He said the issue I am having is a reaction to the rimadyl stuff, so he is now going to have mommy give me something called diramax. My friend MOOSE takes that for his knees too, so mommy is hopeful it will help me. The doc said that I have to wait 3 to 4 days for all the other stuff to get out of my in test ums before I can have the new stuff. He also told mommy to feed me some hooman food with chicken and rice. I have heard my other friends have had this and liked it. So mommy is making me some right now. The doc said it will help clear up the problem I have had. I hope it helps soon cause my bum is real tired, sore and stinky. I have had 3 baths today, and mommy is ready to take me out for another. I dont feel good
And into the big green machine I flew!
The new ramp fits a lot better for me. The one daddy made for Max was a bit too big and I couldnt lay down comfortably with it near me. And mommy likes the new one cause she can actually pick it up too. So off we went for a ride.

Wait, what is this place I have never been here before. Am I getting my pawnails trimmed again? But you dont expect me to get up on that table do you?

Ok, I am ready for my paw-d-cure. Where's the clippers?
Then to my surprise, someone else came in, and stook something in my bum. I didnt like that too much, but mommy petting me made it not so bad. Then he pressed all over me. It was a bit sore when he pressed on my back, and then he started pulling my leg. Whats this all about. Never had this before. Then he took me away from mommy and daddy and the rest is a secret. But I didnt really like it too much. When I finally went back to mommy and daddy I was real sore. Too sore to even empty myself out. We went home and mommy took me for a walk, and kept telling me to "go, go, go". I was so tired, I didnt know what she meant. So we went home. Daddy took me out back and said "go, go go", but I didnt know what he meant at first, then when I emptied myself, mommy and daddy cheered. Mommy got to sleep in her own bed. Sunday, August 15, 2010
Mad about Redlands- Part 1
This is a really pretty church. It was one of the first churches that came to our town in the early 1900's. Mommy say's of course it has been revised a few times.
This is another view of the same church. See the big big tall Palm tree's? We have these all over town. You will be seeing them often.
This is the local Catholic church, behing the Baptist church. They are so close, they almost look like the same church.
This was the first church in our town, in the 1800's. It used to be real little, and only a block from where we live. But it grew and grew, so when the town made a downtown area, the church moved here.
This is the front door of that church. Mommy say's it looks like something from another country. Very stately.
This is another view of the first ever church. It still looks like an older church. See the top where there is a bell (left side)? It still rings. In fact there are at least three churches that ring their bells, and if you are around town you can hear them. This is an old house just next door to the old mortuary. It has been turned into a Lawyer and Dentist office. Daddy did some work on this house, so we had to take a pichure of it. Mommy wanted to get the tall tree's in the pichure, but she is so far away you cannot see me and daddy in the pichure. But if you look real close we are there, in front of the steps.
Now I am pretty tuckered. It has been hot here in Redlands, and that was a lot of walking around the corners, crossing streets. So I gotta go home and get some yummy ice treats that mommy promised me for being such a good girl.
Thank you for joining us on our tour. See you next time. BARK! Sasha the Princess

Wash Day
Then the good part comes. A rubdown with the hooman cloth. Oh, it feels so good. "A little to the left mommy! Oh yes, right there!"
She doesnt miss a spot. She just rubs and rubs. I just sit and moan and groan.

She makes sure my ears are super clean. I like this part a lot. She said I look like a hooman baby wrapped in a towel.
What do you think?
Personally, I prefer this pose.
Looks just like this one...Thursday, July 15, 2010
THE OUTCOME
See that tiny little red thing in the middle of the floor? That is what mommy put there because I can not get my graceful self up off the floor now. Because my hind legs dont work so well, I know use my front legs entirely to lift myself up from laying down. But on this new bootiful floor, I cannot do it anymore. So I need something to get my paws to stay still. Plus mommy does not want me to scratch up daddy's work. But not to worry about the Princess, my friends, mommy ran out and bought a bigger rug to lay in the middle of the floor, just for my protection and comfort.
The project mommy was working on is now in the good smelling room. She said it is much "stoodier" for her stuff, than the old metal thing she had in there. But I am a bit confused, because she cleaned it all up before she brushed the smelly color onto it, then she wiped it and made it look all dirty again.
